The inscriptions contain: The basmala, the shahada, the nada ‘ali quatrain, invocations to God and the four Orthodox Caliphs, Qur’an, chapters II (al-baqara), part of verse 255; XI, (Hud), part of verse 56; two Persian couplets invoking ‘Abd al-Qadir Gilani (?) and invocations to him through his attributes: ya hazrat-e mahbub-e subhani ya ghawth al-a‘zam
