finely potted in conical form with flaring sides supported on a tapering foot, covered overall with a lustrous persimmon-red glaze thinning at the rim to a dark brown tone and banded with a cream coloured rim, the glaze stopping just short of the knife-pared foot to reveal the fine buff body, Japanese wood box..
