le pied polylobé repoussé et gravé de motifs de feuilles et masques stylisés, le corps à côtes orné des mêmes motifs et de trois cartouches, deux anciennement gravés d'un monogramme effacé, le troisième d'une inscription en cyrillique signifiant  En signe d’amitié réciproque entre les habitants de Bronitsky et les soldats du premier bataillon de la brigade d’infanterie d’Ouglitch, le bec verseur en forme d'escargot marin renversé d'où jaillit un dauphin, le couvercle à bord polylobé gravé postérieurement en cyrillique 1er janvier 1819, la prise en escargot marin, l'anse en ivoire probablement rapportée ainsi que les hottes. Haut. 22 cm, poids total 757 g. Estimation: 12,000 - 18,000 EUR

on moulded foot embossed and engraved with stylised leaves and masks motives, the fluted body with same motives and three cartouches, two with erased monogram, the third with a later cyrillic inscription meaning As a symbol of friendship between Bronitsky inhabitants and the soldiers of the Ouglitch infantry battalion, the unusual finial shaped as an inverted  sea snail from which a dolphin is emerging, the fluted cover with moulded border similarly decorated, the border later engraved with a name and date 1819, snail finial, with probably later ivory handle and handle mounts; 8 1/2 in, 24oz 6 dwt all in.
