with deep rounded sides rising from a straight foot to a flaring brown-dressed rim, painted to the exterior with fish swimming in cresting waters with algae and other aquatic plants, the interior with a central medallion enclosing a crab and shell fish amongst waterweeds on waves, the vase with an apocryphal six-character Jiajing mark within a double-circle.
