the tapering cylindrical body rising from a spreading foot to a straight neck and a galleried rim, painted to the exterior with scholars and acolytes in a river landscape with trees, distant pavilions and fishermen at work, the neck with cranes in flight amongst cloud scrolls, ruyi lappets and a band of florets, the rim encircled by a chevron band, inscribed to the base with a double-circle.
