Topped by a delicate diamond-set bow supporting a diamond-set garland swag, centering one drop-shaped iridescent yellowish brown/black button pearl approximately 9.3 to 11.5 x 14.8 mm., suspending one oval iridescent yellowish brown/black pearl approximately 6.6 to 6.8 x 7.7 mm., circa 1910. Large pearl: yellowish-brown with iridescent pink and green hues, some rippling, attached to engraved platinum flower on reverse, roundish in back, not flat, but not as round as front, good luster. Small pearl: yellowish-brown/black with bubbling and faint hairline crack that does not break surface, round in back, good luster. Good condition. Well-made. 2 1/16 x 1 1/2". Sold for $12,500
With The Gem and Pearl Laboratory report no. 04165 stating that the pearls are natural, saltwater, no evidence of treatment, the drop-shaped pearl with worked base.
