Porcelain with Famille-Rose painting and delicate gold decoration. Set including 2 parts: Large circular bowl (diam. 29,5 cm) and corresponding large plate (diam. 47 cm). Each with a half moon in the centre, encircling a verse in Arabic characters. The rim with large floral borders, including reserves with lingzhi-funghi and peaches. Min. rest. At the rim, small chip and small fissure. Estimation : 1 400 €
Note: There has been a very long tradition of exporting Chinese porcelain to the Middle East and Islamic regions in India, which goes back to the 8th cent.
