thinly cast with a plain, high-ridged rim, the grooved central loop enclosed by a circular concave band, between threads of twisted rope pattern, comprising four interlaced dragons, each overlapping the nearest scroll of its neighbor, smooth black and silvery gray patina, Japanese wood box (4). Diameter 5 3/8 in., 13.6 cm.
PROVENANCE: Mayuyama & Co., Ltd, Tokyo, acquired between 1960-1969.
