A Chinese Blue And White Porcelain Dutch Market Armorial Charger, Qing Dynasty, Kangxi Period (1662-1722)Photo Gibson Antiques. 

Painted with a pheasant on rockwork beside peony to the centre, surrounded by lotus flower scrolls, the rim with the arms of Jacob Pelgrom of Holland surmounted by a crest incorporating a Chinaman, the underside with a double circle shell mark and floral sprays. Diameter 35.5cm. Price on request

An identical dish is illustrated by C.J.A Jörg, Chinese Ceramics in the Collection of the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, no .352, p. 301.

Jacob Pelgrom was an official for the Dutch East India Company, and was sent to Batavia in 1688. He left the companies service in 1713 and died the same year in Batavia.
