A small baluster-shaped vase of porcelain, of slender ovoid form, the sides spreading gently at the foot and curving upwards to a broad mouth, with low-domed flat cover. Round the shoulder is an incised border of chevrons and at the foot a ring band. Painted in violet blue round the sides a flying duck descends towards its mate beside a growing lotus, with a water plant and an insect. Below the lip is a leaf border, and painted on the cover a duck under reeds and a cockscomb plant.
