the ceramic body of globular form on a wide, flat circular base, painted in underglaze blue with a design of floral tendrils, mounted in brass at the shoulder with a waisted neck with ribbed torus moulding and a domical cover with conical finial surmounted by an enamelled terminal, with applied square section handle and curved spout, the mounts engraved with foliate arabesques and scrolls, the section between spout and shoulder mount with silver medallion engraved with motif featuring a Sassanian-style crowned head
