the compressed globular body rising from a straight foot to a waisted knopped neck, painted in bright tones of cobalt-blue with eight scholars engaged in conversation and various literati pursuits, accompanied by attendants in a landscape with plantain, trees and rocks, all between a floral scroll at the shoulder and a lappet band at the base, the tall neck with stylised tulip sprays divided by lappet bands at the knop; 38.1cm., 15in. Estimation: 20,000 - 30,000 GBP
