Sterlé Diamond and Gold Earrings

1

Sterlé Diamond and Gold Earrings – Photo couresty of Steven Fox Jewelry

Pierre Sterle designed for the prestigious jewelry houses of Boucheron, Ostertag, and Chaumet before opening his own successful salon on the Avenue de L’Opera in Paris. His jewels have become known for their restrained grace, movement, and elegance. From Marilyn Monroe to King Farouk, and the Maharami of Baroda, Sterle has a wide fan base which is enamored by his jewelry.

These signed Sterle, circa 1970, earrings reflect his love of feather shaped foliage which are crafted so delicately that they appear to be swaying in the gentle breeze. With a radiant gold patina that is kissed by the sun, each 18K yellow gold arrangement of elongated leaves are anchored by a diamond and platinum accent leaf, totaling .12 carats. With a clip back, the earrings are the definition of sophisticated charm and collectiblity.
