In ancient China people pursued longevity and immortality, so they created deities to comfort their souls, and immortal Taoists and divine animals as well . The immortal Taoists and divine animals were often decorated at the back of the mirrors. The inscription of 83 characters carved at the mirror expressed the wish of immortality and happiness.
