of compressed ovoid for rising to a tall cylindrical neck and everted rim, the body boldly painted with six writhing four-clawed dragons in furious pursuit of 'flaming pearls', amid flames, all raised on a tall splayed foot painted with alternating cruciform clouds and precious objects. Height 17 3/4 in., 45.1 cm. Estimation 20,000 — 30,000 USD
NOTE: A very similar vase, formerly from the Collection of Frederick J. and Antoinette H. Van Slyke was sold in these rooms 31st May 1989, lot 199.
