the exterior richly enameled, each of the eight panels painted with a different rendering of an archaic Ding-form vessel against alternating grounds of aubergine and green diamond pattern with two shou characters and a green stippled ground with scattered flowers all above a narrow lappet band, the interior with a central medallion of a large Ding vessel against a leiwen ground, the rim with reserves of auspicious emblems, jing zhi seal mark in underglaze blue within a double square.
