This extremely rare hunting cutlery belongs to an existing group of similar sets of four pieces, one of which (formerly belonged to the Dukes of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel) dates from 1657 / 58th Presumably these sets, which show a clear influence Nasrid emerged in Ottoman-occupied North Africa (possibly in Tunis). The tour de force of hunters Ziegler brought into the Indian Chamber set consists of two differently sized knives in an ornate scabbard. Both knives have a jataganartigen ivory handle with simple silver ferrules and rotating grip tape. The larger knife has a machetenartige, severe back blade that is double-edged front and in the rear part has a deep channel. The wooden scabbard is completely covered with gilded silver plate. Then there are two long openwork filigree and red-backed hardware.The reason decor consists of dense leafy vines between curved and medallions. The locket is separated by several profiled annular ridges of the vagina and the other has a small strap lug on the back.Locket, middle band and chape with button are enamelled in blue and green. In addition, located on the center band two inlaid garnets and turquoise.
