The openwork modified bombe rectangle encrusted with single-cut diamonds, spaced by a band set with 5 baguette diamonds, flanked by black enamel, centering one hexagonal-shaped carved emerald approximately 17.3 x 29.8 x 9.4 mm., flanked by a stylized diamond-set flower motif accented by 14 baguette diamonds, edged by black enamel, topped by one cabochon sapphire, joined by one bullet-shaped diamond, suspending one drop-shaped emerald approximately 30.0 x 22.0 x 22.0 mm., circa 1920, 2 small diamonds missing. Single-cut diamonds: I-J-VS-SI, several small chips at edge, not visible to eye. 2 small diamonds missing on tapered bands supporting the emerald drop. Baguette diamonds: H-I-mostly VS, several SI. Fancy-shaped diamond: H-I-SI. Carved emerald: medium deep bluish-green, included, but translucent, several areas of brownish inclusions visible to the eye, the other inclusions are not visible to the eye, good polish. Drop emerald: medium deep green in areas, very included, large area of white inclusions visible to eye, large patch of brown inclusions on bottom and on reverse, small patch in front, some pitting, crevices and small hairline cracks due to inclusions that are close to the surface, good polish. Cabochon sapphire: deep rich blue, good polish. Black enamel: good condition, one small chip at edge by baguette diamonds under carved emerald, not visible to eye. Good condition. 3 x 1 7/8". Estimate $60,000-80,000. Sold for $75,000
