the pear-shaped body supported on a spreading foot, rising to a waisted neck surmounted by a phoenix head and an oval rim, set with a loop handle to one side, the front and back face moulded in relief with shaped cartouches variously enclosing an equestrian archer and a phoenix standing atop a lotus bloom encircled by stylised floral sprays, covered overall with a cream-coloured glaze running short of the foot, wood stand and Japanese box.
