the rounded sides supported on a short foot rising to a flaring rim, the exterior brightly painted with four circular panels variously enclosing vases, flowers and other precious objects, all reserved on a pink sgraffiato ground decorated with feathery foliate scrolls, the interior painted in underglaze-blue with four tasselled lanterns around a medallion enclosing tassels and jardinières radiating from a central floret, the base with six-character seal mark; 14.6cm., 5 3/4 in. Estimation 30,000 -- 50,000 GBP
