The openwork bracelet centering one cushion-shaped sapphire approximately 15.97 cts., encircled and edged by diamonds, completed by a tapered diamond-set bracelet, set throughout with 189 old-mine, single and rose-cut diamonds approximately 6.50 cts., circa 1905, 3 diamonds missing, approximately 24.4 dwts. Length 6 5/8 inches. Sapphire: bright deep vivid cornflower blue, center slightly ligher, two slender bands of color zoning going across by one corner of table slightly visible to eye, some color zoning faintly visible in center of stone, several finger print inclusions, silk and crystal inclusions, lively. Diamonds: J-K-VS-SI, several Imp., several small chips, 4 rose-cut diamonds missing. Good condition. Width 1 1/4" ( center). Bracelet width 3/4 to 1/4". Clasp width 3/16". Estimate $15,000-20,000. Sold for $56,250

With AGL report no. CS 57433 stating that the sapphire is of Ceylon (Sri Lankan) origin, no gemological evidence of heat or clarity enhancement.
