Each potted with a wide curving well displaying a crane, pine tree and deer drawn in dark cobalt outline and wash, the recessed base within the low foot ring inscribed with the character ya (elegance) and all surfaces except the foot pad covered with a celadon-tinged glaze (rim frits, chips). 6in (15cm) diameter. Sold for US$ 937 (€678)
