I started my business in 1980 after 6 years working in Christies catologuing Indian and Islamic art and oriental carpets. As a dealer I have primarily been interested in early Indian sculpture and the art of the Himalayas, especially Kashmir, and I have sold many pieces to museums around the world. I am also interested in the scholarily aspects of Indian art, writing many articles on the subject. I completed a doctoral thesis on the stylistic develoment of Kashmirian sculpure at University of Oxford in 1994. A revised version of the thesis will be published by Brill in April 2013, entitled The Hindu-Buddhist sculpture of ancient Kashmir. For the last two years I have prepared a commercial catalogue of sculptures which have been exhibited in New York as part of Asia Week. The first catalogue in 2011 was of the collection of the late Simon Digby, the sale of which was very successful.'
