The three graduating plaques of foliate design, each centrally-set with a cushion or pear-shaped diamond in closed-back setting, the reverse of each decorated with a glazed hairwork compartment, within a blue enamel border inscribed in golden lettering 'HONble F.H. ONGLEY', 'HONble A.H. Ongley' and 'HONble C. Fremantle' to an openwork surround set with cushion, French and pear-shaped diamonds, suspended from four rows of 2.0mm-3.0m pearls and terminating in a cushion-shaped diamond clasp, in closed-back settings, diamonds approx. 11.10cts total, composite, length 39.0cm, cased by R&S. Garrard & Co. Estimate £6,000 - 8,000 (€7,300 - 9,700)
Accompanied by a report from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory, stating that an extensive sample of pearls were found to be natural, saltwater. Report number 09168, dated 18th December 2013.
