The sandalwood box entirely veneered in stained buffalo horn with engraved ivory straps and bosses and applied panels of ivory fretwork, eight of which with central cartouches engraved with Hindu deities, the domed lid opens to reveal a lift out compartmentalised tray with engraved ivory lids, on lion paw feet; 37cm wide, 19cm high, 17.7cm deep
