the irregular shaped body conforming with the natural form of the root, the textured exterior skilfully carved in the extremities and relief areas of the surfaces to augment the naturalistic and antiquated effect of brushpot, the patina or a rich chocolate-brown with a tinge of red, incised with poetic inscriptions titled Ren Shou on one side, and Feng Yue on the other, with an apocryphal date Jiaqing.
