A famille rose yellow-ground 'Medallion' bowl , Daoguang six-character seal mark in underglaze-blue and of the period (1821-1850). Photo Christie's Image Ltd 2014.
The bowl is potted with tall rounded sides rising to a flaring mouth rim, and is supported on a short foot. The exterior is enamelled with three large peony flowers surrounded by associated foliage, all reserved on a lemon-yellow ground. 4 ½ in. (11.4 cm.) diam. Estimate £20,000 – £30,000 ($33,580 - $50,370)
