The bowl is potted with deep rounded sides, with a short foot rising to a flared rim. The exterior is finely enamelled with four panels enclosing chrysanthemum flowers, interspersed with stylised floral sprays reserved on a sgraffiato pale-blue ground. The interior is painted in cobalt blue to depict a central medallion containing flowering branches of peony and chrysanthemum, surrounded by four groups of chrysanthemum sprays. 5 ? in. (14.9 cm.) diam. Estimate £15,000 – £25,000 ($25,215 - $42,025)
