The bowl has tall rounded sides rising to a flared mouth rim, supported on a short foot. The exterior is decorated with five phoenix roundels rendered in copper-red, with small areas of apple-green. A further phoenix roundel is painted to the interior. 5 ¾ in. (14.6 cm.) diam. Estimate £6,000 – £8,000 ($10,086 - $13,448)
Notes: Bowls with copper-red phoenix roundels are based on earlier prototypes from the Kangxi period (1662-1722).
