the shallow rounded sides rising from a short tapering foot to a broad everted flaring rim, brightly decorated to the interior with a monkey and deer beside a peach tree issuing from rockwork, with a bird flying overhead, all within foliate panels reserved on a chequerboard ground, the base with an underglaze-blue apocryphal Chenghua mark
