the jar with a cylindrical body tapering slightly below the incurved rim and around the foot, moulded with three animal masks in relief, the body freely painted with three rounded frames, each enclosing an outstretched crane soaring amidst ruyi-shaped clouds, the frames interrupted by ruyi heads joined by a vertical strap and reserved on a dark blue ground figured with Leiwen, all below a band of cartouches enclosing auspicious items and a border of vertical lines around the rim; the dishes, freely painted on the interior with a lotus pond enclosed within a serrated border encircling the rim
