well potted with deep rounded sides rising form a short straight foot, the exterior decorated in vivid multi-coloured enamels against a ruby-red ground with four lotus blooms born on interlocking meandering foliate stems, alternating with smaller green- and blue-petalled blossoms issuing from ruyi-shaped heads, the base inscribed in underglaze blue with a four-character hall mark within double circles; 15.2 cm., 6 in.
