“The inspiration came from the cherry blossoms of Japan, which represents innocence, simplicity and spring. It marks the arrival of new beginnings and greater things to come. This act of nature is a way of giving, to provide for everyone, just like the Nanhi Kali project.”
The parure is a matching set of a necklace and earrings. The necklace comes in two lines — the upper line is detachable and the lower line can be worn independently. At the centre of each flower is a hexagonal shape Mozambican ruby, surrounded by fancy shaped diamonds. The flowers are studded with pink and orange sapphires, the fine twigs are crafted from Zambian emeralds and diamonds outline the petals to give a feeling of settled snow. The flowers are held together with ruby-studded cherries and a pair of matching earrings completes the beautiful suite.
