Painted with a continuous chinoiserie scene with figures engaged in various pursuits, the animal spout embellished in gilding and the wishbone handle in gilding, purple and iron-red, gilt foliate scrollwork border to the rims, the cover with two landscape vignettes and a round gilt finial, 10.2cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue and gilt numeral 17. to both (2). Estimate £4,000 - 6,000 (€5,000 - 7,500)
