Scalloped oval form with flaring rim and ornate scroll handles, the gilded bowl embossed in high-relief with a depiction of 'Daniel in the lion's den', featuring a man surrounded by four lions in a vaulted building, within a husk border, the lobed sides chased with foliate scrolls, dated 1689 within German presentation inscription, height 3cm, length 11cm, weight 3.5oz.
