Cup and cover, glass, Venice, late 16th century; conical with bowl diminishing downwards in horizontal ridges; knop at base of stem and folded bell-foot; cover rising to clear glass knop in horizontal ridges; ornamented throughout with white diagonal bands. Height: 34.7 centimetres. Purchased through: Miss Whitehead. Purchased through Christie's.Ex-collection Edward William Cooke (1811 - 1880). 1880,0617.27.
