the deep rounded sides rising from a short tapering foot to a grooved rim, the interior with two birds each perched on a plum blossom branch reserved in rich dark brown against the densely variegated buff ground, the exterior applied with a 'tortoiseshell' glaze of dark brown color mottled in beige stopping short of the knife-pared foot.
