the rounded sides rising from a short foot to a flared rim, covered inside and out with a dark brown glaze, the interior with papercut decoration of plum blossom florets, with four florets enclosing characters forming the phrase chang ming fu gui (wish for longevity and prosperity), against a ground of radiating strokes from a central floret, all in a yellowish-brown slip resembling gilding, the glaze on the exterior falling irregularly above the foot to reveal the buff body.
