Of pear form raised on a tall foot, the pale gray-green glaze displaying black-stained craze lines with subsidiary lines of pale russet hue, the glaze covering all surfaces except the foot pad which is painted with a line of dark brown wash (foot pad chipped). 7in (17.7cm) high
Notes: The vase recalls the gallbladder-shaped vases in various museum collections identified as Ge ware of the Song period.
