potted with a slightly rounded conical body with steep sides rising to a thin concave groove and a slightly everted rim, covered overall with a black glaze and freely decorated with cream-coloured splashes running freely in different directions, the unglazed knife-pared foot revealing a light buff clay body; 12.3 cm., 4 7/8 in.
