Each vase is decorated to the body with two large panels containing scenes of warriors engaging in battle outside a pavilion. There are several smaller cartouches between the panels, enclosing a bird amongst prunus and bamboo, and various mountainous landscape scenes. The neck is decorated with further panels with court scenes, flowers and birds. 24 1/4 in. (61.6 cm.) high
