The exterior is painted with the four characters wan shou wu jiang, 'boundless longevity', each enclosed within a medallion formed by a band of ruyi-heads, set against a ground of lotus sprays interspersed with the Eight Buddhist Emblems, bajixiang. The interior is painted with a stylised shou medallion surrounded by the bajixiang within a double-circle border.
