Each dish is decorated with two bearded figures, one wearing open robes seated in front of the other who is in conversation. The scene is surrounded by a band of flowers and bamboo shoots. The reverses are decorated with scrolling grape vines, and the bases each have an underglaze blue wan fu you tong mark within a double circle, which may be translated as 'May ten thousand blessings gather here'. 5 ¾ in. (14.5 cm.) diam.
