well potted with deep rounded side and moulded with a raised band around the interior rim, applied with a lustrous brown glaze speckled with a fine gold mist and brush-painted with vivid buff-coloured strokes extending onto the exterior of the cup, the glaze stopping unevenly above the base and foot revealing a beige stoneware.
