Each side of the vase is delicately painted with a five-clawed dragon surrounded by scholarly attributes and floral sprays, above two phoenixes and a crane. There is an apocryphal Wanli six-character mark in underglaze blue within a double-square to the base. 7 7/8 in. (20 cm.) high, wood stand and cover
