The vase is sturdily potted and is of elongated globular form rising to a tall cylindrical neck. It is covered in a thick deep purplish-red glaze suffused with pale bluish white streaks, thinning to a mushroom tone at the mouth rim. 20 ½ in. (52.2 cm.) high
