Each vase is decorated to two sides with an elegant lady in a fenced garden holding either a fan or a ruyi scepte. The other sides are variously decorated with kingfishers amongst peony and birds perched on prunus branches. The necks are decorated with floral panels on a cell-pattern ground, above ruyi bands at the shoulders. The bases and necks are mounted with european 19th century gilt-bronze and gilt-metal mounts. 19 7/8 in. (50.5 cm.) high
