Finely finished with a wide curving well raised on a tall, tapered foot, the exterior walls delicately incised with two dragons chasing a flaming pearl, the deeply recessed base displaying the mark in underglaze blue regular script and all surfaces except the narrow foot pad covered with the lustrous, celadon-tinged glaze. 6 1/4in (15.8cm) diameter
Provenance: by repute, purchased in Tokyo in 1952
