deftly decorated around the exterior with a green and a red five-clawed dragon striding among flowering chrysanthemum and peony reaching for pearls, alternating with descending phoenix, all below a band of beribboned auspicious objects and ruyi encircling the rim, the interior similarly decorated with a red dragon within a central medallion, the base inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character seal mark; 15.6 cm., 6 1/8 in.
