The interior of the heavily potted dish is decorated with a green dragon and an aubergine dragon leaping amidst clouds and flames as they contest a flaming pearl below eight flowers including lotus, rose, peony, crab apple, prunus, camellia, chrysanthemum and hollyhock in the rounded well, while a frieze of four dragons at similar pursuit decorates the exterior. A Kangxi mark is on the base. 13 7/8 in. (35.3 cm.) diam.
